Leily Derakhshani

Born in 1961 in Sang-e-sar

Lely grew up in an artistic family and graduated in sculpture from the Tehran Conservatoire of Fine Arts release. She started working as an illustrator and graphic artist and subsequently became a permanent member of the Association of the Children’s books illustrators of Iran.

While pursuing her career as an illustrator, Leily also started studying music and was soon also established as a performing musician. Leily’s music credits include:

Participation in the renowned Southbank Centre’s Rhythm Stick Festival in London
Performance with the Hamnava Ensemble in the Das Kultur Haus
