Villa Contemporanea is pleased to present A distant echo, the first personal show of the Iranian artist Saba Masoumian in Italy. A multi-faceted and fascinating artist, Saba comes to Monza for the second time: in 2015, one of her works was chosen for the Young Artists’ Biennial and selected as the winner. The work awarded by the Jury and purchased by the City of Monza Art Prize Committee was donated to the Monza Civic Museum to further enhance its collection of contemporary art. Saba Masoumian creates complex works rich in allusion; abandoned domestic environments in which despite being negated, human presence has left evident traces of its passage, primordial energy.
